SILVER UP

On 13/4, in a Sha Tin turf barrier trial over 1000m (running positions: 4-2-2), the horse showed decent effort, urging up nicely. In a previous trial on 2/3 over 1000m (running positions: 3-2-3), he tracked the leaders smoothly and naturally. Six months ago, in a Sha Tin turf race over 1600m on the Sha Tin turf course, his performance was disappointing; he was slow to jump out and tracked from behind with an average pace throughout, only slowly catching up in the final stages. Fortunately, he wasn't far behind, finishing three and a half lengths off the winner. After two more barrier trials, there has been slight improvement. In his most recent Sha Tin turf trial over 1400m, he has run seven races without a win. The current form doesn't quite align with the race conditions; tracking from behind, his finishing burst may not match his rivals. However, with advantageous draw and acceptable recent trial times, he is not without a chance.
