Dirt trial at 1200m on 7/5 (dirt trial 1200m: 1-2-1), ran well, balanced perfectly in the second section, and accelerated to win. Turf trial at 1000m on 14/4 (turf trial 1000m: 3-5-3), maintained pace well in the second section, fighting for third place. In a race similar to this last April, his performance was poor; he responded well initially but faded in the final stages, resulting in a heavy defeat. After two recent trial runs, there has been improvement. He needs to carry an additional two pounds in this race. The time metric is somewhat weak, and the overall prospects are slightly unfavorable due to the barrier draw and a slight dip in closing speed. The partnership between jockey and trainer has not been outstanding, and while he shows recent achievements and continued progress in form, his chances remain low.
