7/5 (1200m dirt trial: 7-7-5) showed decent closing speed when urged on coming around the bend and down the straight. Three weeks ago, in a similar race, his performance was very poor; he was slow getting out of the starting gate and ran from behind, with his closing speed weakening in the final stages, resulting in a heavy defeat. His trial run showed no improvement in stamina/strength. This race requires an extra two pounds, and the time difference within the group puts him at a disadvantage. If tracking from behind in the race, his finishing kick may not match that of his rivals. The jockey and trainer's synergy is not prominent, but he has shown good attitude in recent workouts, so caution is advised.
