Started poorly and unbalanced in a 1200m dirt trial at from Hua on April 30th (Dirt Trial: 6-6-6). In a 1000m turf trial at from Hua on April 17th (Turf Trial: 5-6-5), the horse had a poor start and showed only average response under the jockey. Eight weeks ago, this horse put in a disappointing performance over a mile on Happy Valley turf, tracking the leaders with a consistent pace but lacking any real impetus. Following two more trials, no improvement was seen. Switching to Sha Tin over 1400m for the first time, the distance does not suit him, and he is out of step with his stablemates; no clear advantage was seen. He tends to settle towards the rear, and his finishing kick is inferior to his rivals. The jockey and trainer partnership has not shown any outstanding chemistry, although the draw is favorable and he carries two pounds less this time, he remains unlikely to be selected for this race.
