15/05 (Conghua turf trial 1400m: 4-4-4-2) Ran a relaxed race, allowing freedom of movement. Five weeks ago, this horse performed disappointingly over 1400m on Sha Tin turf; he was slow getting out of the gate, tracked the pace, and accelerated in the middle section before chasing again on the straight in the final two sections. The overall pace was steady, and his run was mediocre. A subsequent trial showed slight improvement. Stepping up in class, he tried 1600m on Sha Tin turf this time; the prospects are slightly less favorable, but his late-stage momentum is the strongest in the field, and his draw is not bad; he should not be overlooked.
