This last ran winner performed exceptionally well in the same race five weeks ago, holding a good position tracking the leaders with a steady run and making up significant ground in the final stages to win. Recent trial work showed improvement. Having secured two wins previously, its time figures are respectable. Based on ratings, it is considered the strongest contender in this race. The horse's recent form has been solid; however, for this race it needs to carry an extra nine pounds, the current track conditions aren't ideal for its style, it lacks a pronounced finishing kick, and there isn't an exceptional synergy between the jockey and trainer, though it remains a leading contender.
