Three weeks ago, this horse ran a disappointing race over 1400m on Sha Tin turf; he was slow to exit the starting gate and settled towards the rear, maintaining a steady pace throughout but showing an unimpressive run. He finished poorly. Switching to 1200m on dirt, this was his debut over the distance; the trip did not suit him, and his time figures were weak, putting him in a slightly disadvantaged position with diminished finishing power. The jockey and trainer's coordination was not ideal, although the draw was acceptable and the jockey seemed to have some understanding of the horse's temperament, making him a low-chance contender.
