5/6 (Dirt trial 1200m: 3-3-2) ran at a quick pace, closing in progressively. On 26/5 (Turf trial 1000m: 8-6-5), he jumped out slightly slowly and lacked real acceleration in the final stages. Six weeks ago, his disappointing run over a Happy Valley 1200m showed declining late-stage form while tracking near the leaders. After two trial runs, there has been slight improvement. His recent dirt 1200m run showed no outstanding time, with an unfavorable position. If he settles into a stalking race, his closing speed may not match the competition. The jockey-trainer partnership is not ideal; however, his morning work shows improvement, and with a six-pound weight reduction this time, he could be an upset contender.
