Steward Report Predict Pace Map
MY MEMORY was withdrawn on 3.4.10 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right hind) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter GILDED FLIGHT (Apprentice K C Leung). Before being allowed to race again, MY MEMORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. LET ME FIGHT was slow to begin. Passing the 100 Metres, SOU MA TAM was steadied when racing tight between GILDED FLIGHT and SUPER FORTUNE, both of which shifted ground. Throughout the race, HEXAGON hung out. A veterinary inspection of SUPER FORTUNE after the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER FORTUNE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of DIAMOND KNIGHT, D Whyte said that just prior to the start being effected, DIAMOND KNIGHT lunged at the front gates and then when the gates opened the horse was sitting back slightly which resulted in it losing some ground. He said after this DIAMOND KNIGHT travelled fairly until about the 150 Metres at which point it commenced to give ground. A veterinary inspection of DIAMOND KNIGHT after the race did not show any significant findings. MULTIGLORY and ETERNAL BEAUTY were sent for sampling. The Stewards opened an inquiry into Apprentice T H So’s handling of SUPER FORTUNE. After taking evidence from Apprentice So and Mr L Ho, the trainer of SUPER FORTUNE, the inquiry was adjourned until a time and date to be fixed.
