BINGO KEY, which was fractious in the barriers, was slow to begin and shortly after the start clipped heels and blundered badly when crowded for room between SUNNY SMILES (Apprentice T H So) which shifted out and LUCKY TYCOON which shifted in after bumping with DANESOUTH. Apprentice So was advised to make every endeavour in the future to prevent his mounts from shifting out. KIMBERLEY was crowded for room at the start between NOBLE TWINS which shifted out and HEALTHY MANNER which shifted in after beginning awkwardly. For some distance near the 900 Metres, LUCKY TYCOON proved difficult to settle and was steadied away from the heels of DAYLIGHT EXPRESS. Approaching the 800 Metres, FANTASTIC TIME struck the heels of DANESOUTH, blundered, then shifted out, resulting in DAYLIGHT EXPRESS being checked when taken out across the heels of SUNNY SMILES. LUCKY TYCOON and BINGO KEY, which were following, were severely checked and SUPREME COMMANDER was hampered in consequence. After this incident, DAYLIGHT EXPRESS hung out. A veterinary inspection of SURE GOOD after the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being permitted to race again, SURE GOOD will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of DAYLIGHT EXPRESS after the race did not show any significant findings. NAMJONG FIGHTERS and KIMBERLEY were sent for sampling.
