SUPREME WINNER

On March 25th (Turf Trial 1600m: 10-9-9-9), the horse’s performance was unremarkable. On March 2nd (Turf Trial 1600m: 8-8-8-3), he showed a noticeable late surge after being urged from the 200m mark. On February 15th (Happy Valley Turf Trial 1700m: 5-4-4-4) he ran steadily with a slight urging on the straight. On February 21st (Turf Trial 1600m: 7-7-7-3), he made progress from mid-pack after being urged, and on April 6th (Conghua Turf Trial 1600m: 6-6-6-6) showed limited strength under pressure. Last month this horse ran poorly over a Sha Tin 1400m turf course, slow out of the gate, settling towards the rear, making an effort in the middle stages but ultimately finishing far back. After a long break, he has completed five barrier trials with slight improvement. He is stepping up to a Sha Tin 1600m for his debut; this race carries a one-pound weight reduction, however the distance is not suitable and his chances are hampered by the unfavorable conditions. Despite drawing an inside barrier, expect him to settle towards the rear, relying on a finishing kick. Considered a trial run only.
