On May 16th (dirt trial 1200m: 4-3-5), the horse showed a pleasing effort while conserving energy, tracking the pace. On May 6th (dirt trial 1200m: 7-7-3) he was slightly held back early on and finished with a relaxed final section. April 25th at Conghua turf trial over 1200m saw him settling comfortably in second, running unextended. On March 6th (dirt trial 1200m: 7-6-3) he travelled wide into the home turn and finished with an encouraging surge. He ran a respectable race at Happy Valley over 1200m in early April, jumping slowly but finishing well with a strong late run, beaten three lengths for eighth. After a period off, the horse has had four trials showing some improvement. Dropping back in class, he will now tackle Sha Tin over 1600m, carrying an additional fourteen pounds this time. Despite facing relatively similar times within his group and drawing an inside barrier, the likely tactic of settling towards the rear is a concern given his current lack of finishing speed, making his chances appear limited."
