On April 11th (Conghua turf trial 1200m: 5-6-8), the horse faded badly on the straight, well below its usual level. On March 28th (Conghua turf trial 1200m: 7-7-7), it showed extreme laziness and refused to accelerate. On March 11th (dirt trial 1200m: 10-10-10) the jockey had to push throughout, displaying significant unwillingness. Three months ago in a Sha Tin turf mile, the performance was acceptable; a slow start saw it settle towards the rear, with a mid-race effort but ultimately failing to finish strongly. After a short break, three barrier trials haven't demonstrated improvement. The horse has dropped 25 pounds in body weight and is now stepping back up to Sha Tin over 1600m. This time, without any additional weight, the trial times of its fellow competitors are uninspiring, making for an unfavorable situation despite drawing an inside barrier.
