Five weeks ago, in a Sha Tin 1200m race, performance was below expectations; a slow start meant settling towards the rear before making up ground with quick sections in the final two furlongs. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. Making its debut over 1400m on turf this time with a one-pound weight reduction and drawing an inside barrier, an increase in distance is expected to suit. The horse will likely settle back in the field, but boasts the strongest finishing kick amongst its rivals, giving it a favorable position.
