MOON ROCKET

On August 29th (dirt trial 1200m: 1-1-2), the speed was excellent, taking a fast second position. This is the horse’s seasonal debut following one barrier trial showing slight improvement. Body weight has been reduced by twenty-two pounds; switching to a Happy Valley sprint and running this distance for the first time, he carries no additional weight. The distance should suit him, and he appears capable of tracking the leaders. He can follow the pace with a good draw, possessing the strongest finishing kick in his group, making for favorable conditions. This horse has an absolute advantage in this race, having matured well in trackwork and shown progress; provided a clean jump, he’s expected to contend.
