On August 29th, a turf trial over 1000m at Conghua saw this horse break slowly with a weakening finish in the final stages. This is his seasonal debut. One barrier trial showed satisfactory work. He has dropped 31 pounds in body weight and will carry no additional weight this time. Having secured two wins over this distance previously, he holds comparable times to his group, possesses good early speed potential, draws a favorable barrier, and enjoys a strong trainer-jockey relationship. Despite lacking a strong finishing kick, if he jumps cleanly, he’s expected to contend for the lead.
