On August 26th (dirt trial 1050m: 5-3-4), the horse travelled on the outside throughout, maintaining a relaxed stride. This is his seasonal debut after one barrier trial with an unremarkable performance. He’s had another trial over Happy Valley's short distance course and will carry only a two-pound weight increase this time. He has previous form over this distance, with comparable times to horses in the same group, and draws a favorable barrier. The tactics are to settle back early relying on a strong finishing kick, considered the best in his group. Hugh Bowman takes the ride, possessing excellent knowledge of the horse's temperament; trainer and jockey appear to have a good understanding, making him a contender to lead."
