On 2/9, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 7-9-7), encountering congestion on the turn and making up some ground with urging in the final two furlongs. On 8/21, during a Conghua dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 6-6-7), he settled comfortably tracking the pace and finished towards the rear. A further trial at Conghua on 3/7 over 1200m (sections: 2-2-1) saw him advance from a mid-field position, showing strong initiative to win decisively. Returning after a long layoff, this will be his seasonal debut. He's undergone three barrier trials with marginal improvement observed. Following another Happy Valley mile trial, he benefits from a five-pound weight reduction for this race and draws a favorable barrier. Matthew Poon takes the ride, familiar with the horse’s limitations; despite a time difference within the stable and trainer not being fully aligned, an upset is possible.
