On August 29th, during a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m (sections: 5-5-2), the horse took time to find clear running from 300 meters and needed some acceleration to move forward. This is his debut run of the season; he’s had one barrier trial which wasn't particularly impressive. He made his first raceday appearance in a Happy Valley mile, and this time benefits from a two-pound weight reduction. He has previous form over this distance, with comparable times to horses in the same group. Drawing a good barrier gives him an opportunity to lead, and if he jumps cleanly, a forward run is expected.
