Two weeks ago, in a race over the same distance, this horse jumped slowly and settled towards the rear but showed good recovery. This time he has a one-pound weight reduction but drew an unfavorable outside barrier. The trainer-jockey combination isn’t ideal. Despite having won twice at this distance previously and showing comparable times to rivals, it will take effort to keep up with the pace setters. He can track the leaders, though the jockey's understanding of the horse’s ability is limited. Workouts have been intensified but he’s not considered a strong contender in this race.
