Two weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over Sha Tin 1200m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders and showing good acceleration in the middle stages with sustained momentum. He finished sixth, beaten three and a half lengths. Having dropped 21 pounds in body weight, he is now stepping up to a straight course trial this time with a 3-pound deduction. Despite a reasonable section time comparison within the group, he’s expected to be held up in running, but his finishing kick may not match rivals. The positioning isn't ideal and while capable of tracking the pace, he might struggle to lead. He has drawn well and enjoys a good rapport with the trainer, though there doesn’t appear to be a clear strategy in place.
