Four weeks ago, over a Sha Tin 1600m turf race, the performance was reasonable despite a slow jump and settling towards the rear. A consistent pace was maintained but it made a late run to finish fourth, beaten by half a length. In a subsequent trial over 1400m on the turf, the horse will carry one pound less this time but lacked a finishing kick and didn’t have an advantageous position. While having some form over this distance, its sectionals weren't significantly slower than others in the group; it managed to settle in a good position tracking the leaders. Trainer and jockey appear to be working well together, though no specific strategy seems apparent.
