On September 27th, this horse completed a barrier trial over 1700m at Happy Valley (sections: 7-7-7-8), starting slowly and settling in midfield. On September 8th, during a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua (sections: 8-9-8), the horse was deliberately kept tracking others and didn’t show strong form. Returning from a lengthy spell, this is his seasonal debut. Two trials have been completed without displaying impressive work. After dropping in class for his last run and another trial over 1400m on turf at Sha Tin, he faces an 18-pound weight increase for this race, drawing an unfavorable outside barrier. Trainer-jockey combination isn’t ideal; despite reasonable times within the stable, a jockey change to Richard Kingscote is made. The rider has some understanding of the horse's capabilities, but chances appear limited.
