SKY VINO

Three weeks ago, this horse ran well over a Sha Tin 1400m, showing promise despite a slow start and settling towards the back of the field. It made a strong late run in the final two sections with good speed but was beaten by one and a half lengths for seventh place. Another trial over a Sha tin 1600m this time with a one-pound weight reduction; the group times were not impressive, drawing an outside barrier and lacking a finishing kick resulting in unfavorable positioning. Despite potential early speed, trainer and jockey are considered a good pairing but aren’t favored for this race.
