On 9/10, the horse recorded (dirt trial 1200m: 7-8-7), circling wide on the turn with moderate pace. On 26/9, a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m saw him relaxed and moving comfortably, an easy breeze. This is his seasonal debut. Two barrier trials have been undertaken, showing he hasn't yet reached desired fitness levels. He will carry six extra pounds in this race, having won four of sixteen starts over this distance; the times are competitive within the group. Drawing a favorable barrier provides opportunity for an early lead. Based on current form compared to rivals, he appears superior. Trainer and jockey have good confidence in each other. A clean jump should see him aim for the front immediately.
