AMAZING DUCK

Four weeks ago, over a Sha Tin 1600m turf race, the performance was reasonable; it led comfortably and maintained a good pace throughout the middle sections without fading significantly. It finished sixth, beaten two and a half lengths. Following that, in a trial over Sha Tin 1400m, this time with a two-pound weight reduction, despite having some previous form over this distance, drawing a favorable barrier and potential to lead, it appears well positioned. The jockey has some familiarity with the horse’s capabilities, with gate work observed prior to racing, however section times were slower in comparison to other horses, and trainer-jockey synergy is lacking; hopes are for a good run.
