Ten days ago, this horse showed no promise in a dirt trial over 1200m with strong urging. Seven weeks ago, the horse performed well over Sha Tin turf at 1200m, jumping slowly and settling back before finishing with fast sections but ultimately beaten two and a half lengths for sixth place. A subsequent barrier trial revealed no improvement. Making its debut on Sha Tin turf over 1400m this time with a three-pound weight reduction, the distance is unfavorable and it has drawn an outside barrier. It’s expected to be held up in running but lacks the finishing kick of rivals, presenting a challenging scenario despite a good rapport between trainer and jockey; considered solely as a trial run.
