Two weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed reasonably well. A slow jump saw it settle towards the rear of the field but showed a strong late run, finishing within two and a half lengths of the winner in seventh place. This time, no weight reduction is applied and an unfavorable barrier draw has been assigned. Despite five wins from twenty-four starts at this distance and comparable times to its rivals, a hold-up tactic will be employed, relying on a strong finishing kick which appears superior to other horses in the race. The jockey has some understanding of the horse’s capabilities and enjoys a good working relationship with the trainer. Pre-race warm-ups have been positive, indicating active preparation and potential for success.
