PARENTS' LOVE

A month ago, this horse led early in a Happy Valley sprint but maintained a steady pace without showing a strong finishing burst. He finished seventh, beaten three lengths. Returning to straight course racing, he will carry one pound less weight this time, however, the barrier draw is unfavorable and the trainer-jockey combination isn’t ideal. Despite having previous form over this distance and comparable times within his group, the horse is expected to contend for the lead, has a decent barrier position, and the jockey has some understanding of the horse's capabilities, but doesn’t appear to have a specific plan.
