On February 2nd, the horse completed an 800m turf trial at Conghua in sections of 7-5-1, showing a good finishing run after finding clear running in the middle stages. A recent winner, four weeks ago over the same distance, it performed well, jumping slowly but finishing strongly to win by one and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial indicated slight improvement. This time needing to carry an additional ten pounds, with proven form over this distance and good times recorded within its group, a hold-up strategy is expected, relying on a strong finishing kick which appears the best in the field. The horse holds a clear advantage based on relative ability. Horse, jockey and trainer appear well matched, suggesting another win is likely.
