Four weeks ago, in a race over the same distance, the performance was poor with a slow jump and settling at the back. A steady pace was maintained throughout but lacked any impressive sections. This time, the horse will carry an additional two pounds, having shown some form over this course and distance and comparable times to horses in the same class. The tactics will likely be to settle towards the rear, relying on a strong finishing kick which is considered one of the best in the field. The current conditions are favorable, and compared to other competitors, the horse appears to have superior ability. Training has been vigorous and enthusiastic.
