Two weeks ago, over Sha Tin 1400m, this horse performed poorly, slow to jump and settling towards the rear. The pace was consistent throughout with a late rally to make up some ground. Now dropping back to dirt over 1200m for its debut at this distance, it will carry an additional 19 pounds this time. The shorter trip is unfavorable and the sectional times of its rivals are faster, resulting in a disadvantageous position. The barrier draw is not ideal and it will likely be settling towards the rear again, lacking the finishing kick of its opponents. The trainer-jockey combination is not considered optimal and it’s unlikely to be a strong contender in this race.
