Four weeks ago, this horse ran very well over a Happy Valley 1200m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with an even pace throughout before making ground late to finish second, beaten by half a length. A subsequent dirt trial over 1200m returned respectable times. Drawn favorably, the horse is rated as one of the strongest contenders in this race based on its overall rating. Jockey and trainer combination is adequate, however it will carry two pounds more this time which slightly impacts its chances. A hold-up strategy may hinder a strong finishing kick, but it still has the potential to be competitive.
