DOUBLE BINGO

February 26th (dirt trial 1200m: 9-9-6) ran straight, a real test; February 16th (dirt trial 1200m: 3-3-4) crowded around the turn, unable to find clear running for the final two furlongs, urged by L'Etoile and showed a good response; March 3rd (dirt trial 1200m: 4-4-7) travelled wide throughout, not strongly urged in the straight; March 13th (dirt trial 1200m: 10-9-7) slow to jump, gradually moved outwards after the turn and pushed forward; March 6th (dirt trial 1050m: 3-3-3) shifted course at the two furlong marker, urged to third. Prior to April, in a race over the same distance, performed poorly, slow start, at the back of the field, steady pace throughout, made up some ground in the final stages, but only beaten three lengths. Five barrier trials have shown slight improvement. This time with a 9lb weight reduction, good time figures make the horse competitive, currently ranks highly in pre-race assessments for this field, well prepared. Despite a winless record of seven starts over this distance, a slightly unfavorable draw and expected to settle towards the back, lacking strong finishing speed compared to rivals, it could still be considered a supporting runner.
