On May 21st, in a Sha Tin dirt trial over 1200m (3-3-4), the horse lacked early speed and could not press forward despite a strong ride. Four weeks ago, in a Sha Tin turf race over 1600m, the performance was poor; he jumped out slowly, settled towards the rear, and showed a weakening late drive. A recent trial run was unremarkable. In another Sha Tin turf attempt over 2000m, the conditions were unfavorable, and the late kick was not prominent; the jockey-trainer combination was not ideal, making him unsuitable for this race.
