Five weeks ago, he ran poorly over 1600m on Sha Tin turf, finishing too far back and showing a weak closing run. He trialed in a recent barrier trial with unremarkable performance. In his last attempt over 2000m on Sha Tin turf, it was his first time at this distance; the trip did not suit him, circumstances were unfavorable, and barrier draw was poor. The only positive was that his closing speed in the group was strong and his time was acceptable, but he is not a contender for this race.
