CONRAD THE GREAT
Horse analysis
Three weeks ago, this horse underperformed in a Happy Valley mile on turf; the jump was slow and he tracked from behind with a steady run, gradually recovering ground in the final stages. Fortunately, it wasn't by much, finishing beaten two and a half lengths. Switching to dirt for a mile, this was his debut over the distance on that surface, and he did not show standout timing or form as the conditions weren't favorable with an unfavorable draw. However, his finishing kick is arguably the strongest in the field, and the jockey has a good feel for the horse, making him capable of placing.
