Trial on 18/6 (Dirt trial 1200m: running positions 4-7-4) saw the horse come out wide on the straight to challenge. Four weeks ago, in a Sha Tin 1600m run on turf, the performance was lackluster; it jumped slowly and stayed towards the rear, accelerating in the middle stages before pressing on for two sections on the straight. The run was steady throughout, showing average form. A recent trial showed a moderate performance. For this race on the main card, returning to dirt over a mile with 21 lbs added, the circumstances are not particularly favorable. However, it raced well from the back and possesses the sharpest finishing kick in its field; given its previous form, it's not surprising if there are areas of underperformance.
