2/9 ran a dirt 1200m barrier trial (Dirt Trial 1200m: 5-7-2), moving out after three hundred meters to urge on second, and in the 25/8 Happy Valley turf 1200m barrier trial (Turf Trial 1200m: 7-9-6) started to accelerate from three hundred meters and finished with the strongest momentum in the final stretch. This is its first run this season; three months ago, it performed reasonably well over 1600m on Sha Tin turf, showing good ability and finishing strongly, though it did not carry much weight advantage and finished sixth, beaten three and a half lengths. It has shown slight improvement after two training barrier trials. Returning to Happy Valley over a mile, it carries six pounds less this time, and the sectional times are still acceptable; its late burst is strong within its group. The combination of the jockey's style and the horse's performance suggests continued improvement in form, though having run five times this season with no wins and facing slightly unfavorable conditions should not be overlooked.
