1/9 (Dirt trial 1200m: ran wide on the turn, pressured strongly) and 21/8 (Dirt trial 1200m: gradually advanced, showing maturity and improvement), plus 25/6 (Dirt trial 1200m: quickened up, maintained strong gallop). Making his early season debut, the horse ran poorly in a dirt 1800m race three months ago, tracking near the rear with an even pace and unimpressive running style. After three trial runs in the barrier trials, there has been improvement. He then transitioned to a Happy Valley mile on turf for his first attempt at this trip, but the distance was not suitable and the circumstances were disadvantageous. The connection between jockey and trainer does not appear particularly harmonious, but his finishing kick remains a threat when running in the rear, and his time figures are acceptable; however, he is not selected for this race.
