Trial on 2/9 (Dirt trial 1200m: 4-4-5) showed a lack of focus, tail swinging excessively around the bend. His first run this season was two months ago over 1600m on Sha Tin turf, which was disappointing; he tired in the closing stages and faded badly. A recent trial showed insufficient work completed. Running on Happy Valley turf over a mile, the pace in his group was too fast, giving him an unfavorable position. His closing run lacked sharpness, and there wasn't a standout partnership between jockey and trainer; however, with an advantageous draw and carrying five pounds less this time, heavy expectations are unwarranted.
