On 25/8, the horse ran poorly in a dirt trial over 1200m (straight line fading back, no notable areas of brilliance). This is his first run this season; two months ago he ran over 1600m on Sha Tin turf, showing decent form by tracking the leaders from a good position to secure second place. A recent barrier trial was not convincing. Running on Happy Valley turf over a mile this time, he carries an extra pound, putting him in a slightly disadvantageous position. The jockey and trainer do not seem to have particular chemistry, but his late run in the group is strong. Given his past form, he could contend for a place.
