(Dirt trial 1200m on 28/8: running positions 9-9-8) Unable to maintain pace in the early stages with little impetus. Racing for the first time this season, he performed reasonably well in a race two months ago, settling forward and tracking the leaders; luckily, the weight carried was not too much, and he finished only two and a half lengths behind. After a trial barrier jump, he did not show much power. Having lost all four recent starts, his finishing kick is somewhat lacking; however, he benefits from being able to run near the pace and favorable draw. He could be a potential dark horse.
