Maintaining a steady pace while tracking the leaders and gradually closing in in the final stages to finish as runner-up, only half a length behind—a quality performance. A recent trial showed no improvement. He will carry two pounds more this time, which slightly disadvantages him, and the draw is not ideal, with a slightly weaker late burst. However, given his prior form and decent group timing, he is worth watching.
