This is an early run this season; two months ago in a race with the same competitor, he showed outstanding form, maintaining his position and running at a steady pace. He managed to regain some ground in the final stages, finishing as runner-up, beaten only half a length. A recent trial showed no improvement. The current setup is not highly favorable, with an unfavorable draw and no standout finishing kick or apparent synergy between jockey and trainer.
