This is his first run of the season; two months ago in a similar race, he showed lackluster form, was slow to break from the stalls, ran from behind with a steady pace, gradually closing in towards the finish. Fortunately, he wasn't by far behind, finishing three and a half lengths back. Having run a trial barrier jump, there has been slight improvement. The circumstances are somewhat unfavorable with poor draw placement, and the jockey-trainer combination is not ideal. However, if he adopts a stalking running style, his closing speed in the final stages is superior to others in the group, and having prior form on this course, he has a chance at placing.
