On August 28th, he ran a dirt trial over 1200m (9-10-7) with a jockey on board, showing decent response. In his first outing this season, he performed excellently in his last run over 1400m on Sha Tin turf two months prior, settling well near the front and finishing third, beaten only by two and a half lengths. A recent barrier trial showed no improvement. Switching to Happy Valley turf over 1200m for his debut on this course, he drew a good barrier. He needs to settle towards the rear, possessing arguably the strongest finishing kick in his field. Despite having an extra pound of weight this time, a time differential within the field, and not necessarily favorable conditions, he remains worth considering as a contender.
