August 24th (Conghua turf trial over 1200m: 3-3-2) settled in a forward position, eager to try, with more to achieve. This is his initial start this season; two months ago, he performed excellently in a Sha Tin 1200m race. He didn't jump out quickly, ran from the rear, maintaining a steady pace, and recovered considerable ground in the closing stages to win. He has shown slight improvement in a recent trial. Returning to Happy Valley over 1200m, he has two wins in this course and conditions. His time against comparable horses is respectable, his overall rating places him favorably in the field, and connections are prepared seriously. However, he must carry an extra 11 pounds this time, the circumstances are slightly unfavorable, and his closing kick is marginally weaker, though he still retains winning potential.
