Ran a successful turf trial over 1000m on August 30th (running position: 4-3-1), surging in sections to win. Last ran on August 21st in a dirt trial over 1050m (running position: 2-3-4) and ran comfortably, showing consistent form. This is the first run of the season; eight weeks ago in a similar race, he performed excellently, moving from behind to win. He has improved after two subsequent trials. The draw is not ideal, and his finishing kick is slightly lacking, and the jockey-trainer partnership hasn't been particularly seamless. However, given his ability to take an early run and having four wins in 29 starts, he might still surprise.
