(Dirt Trial 1200m on 3/9: ran from the rear after breaking, made a smooth turn taking the rail, calm and composed. Previous dirt trial 1200m on 20/8: settled in a box position, lightly worked. Returning after a long layoff and making his first start this season; last ran over 2000m on Sha Tin turf and performed poorly, breaking slowly, tracking near the rear, maintaining a steady pace, and recovering some ground in the final stages. Has performed two practice trials showing slight improvement. Competing after work, switching to a Happy Valley mile on turf for the first time at this distance, which should suit. The draw is favorable, and his finishing kick in the field is strong.
